The Heckler & Koch P9S is, quite simply, one of the world's finest
double-action .45 pistols. It is compact, lightweight, easy to
handle and exceedingly accurate. The same design efficiencies and
advanced features that make our other firearms so uncompromising
are just as evident in the P9S.
Because of its delayed roller-locked bolt system, the P9S has
extremely low recoil for a .45 caliber handgun. The P9S is very
controllable- even during rapid fire. This roller-locking action
keeps the gun on target for more dead-center hits.
Like many of H&K's other firearms, the P9S features a cold
hammer-forged, polygonal profile barrel for increased velocity
and ease of maintenance. The polygonal profile barrel has a longer
life expectancy than traditional land/groove profile barrels. With
proper care, your P9S Pistol should last a lifetime.
Operating the P9S is fast and easy. To cock the gun, you can either
use the cocking lever located on the left side of the gun, or use
the trigger in a double-action mode. After initialy cocking the gun,
the trigger operates in single-action mode and will squeeze off
rounds quickly and smoothly in that fashion.
The hammer of the P9S is concealed within the gun, but a protruding
pin at the rear gives a clear, visual and tactile indication that
it is cocked and ready to fire.
Taking the P9S off safety is quickly and easily accomplished
through the use of a thumb safety. Once it is ready to fire, the
combat sights of the P9S make it easy to align with the target-
even under adverse lighting conditions.
The P9S is made of precision-stamped steel and features a non-glare
black finish with a checkered plastic handgrip. The sturdy,
7-round magazine of the P9S puts plenty of .45 caliber firepower in
the palm of your hand, so you can rest assured knowing that it can
do what's expected of it.
For uncompromising performance in a precision-made .45, you will not
find a better handgun than the P9S Pistol from Heckler & Koch.
